We are looking for our future Lead Software Engineer AI to join our Product Development team in Dublin.
The role is offered as hybrid with 2-3 days per week onsite in our Sandyford, Dublin office.

As a cloud and AI leader, you will help shape and deliver personalized, intelligent patient experiences built on a modern AWS serverless platform. You’ll work on production-grade GenAI capabilities, backed by RAG that power real-world products.
You will lead and influence a team of cloud and AI engineers, bringing clarity, energy, and strong technical direction. This role is ideal for someone who is scale-focused and customer-obsessed, with the judgment to apply AI responsibly. You are decisive yet empathetic, comfortable taking measured risks, and driven to deliver high-quality, impactful solutions to market , on time and at scale.
Let’s talk about responsibilities:
Lead in a hands-on technical role while managing and mentoring a team of 5–7 cloud and AI engineers.
Own end-to-end delivery and outcomes for your team
Take pride in building high-quality, scalable AI & cloud solutions and consistently meeting delivery commitments.
Act as a product owner and work closely with technical architects, DS/ML engineers, functional analysts, and product managers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Drive and uphold engineering best practices across system design, AI usage, security, and reliability.
Contribute to estimation, planning, and execution, ensuring transparency and predictability.
Proactively communicate risks, dependencies, and trade-offs, and help unblock delivery when challenges arise.
Participate in an on-call support rotation to ensure platform reliability and operational excellence.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and business objectives.
Let’s talk skills and experience:
You take strong ownership of problems end to end, proactively driving solutions and collaborating effectively across engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams.
You’re comfortable balancing system-level technical goals with broader product and delivery objectives, working closely with multiple stakeholders.
You provide technical and product design leadership, with hands-on involvement in design reviews, implementation decisions, and ongoing optimization.
Cloud & Platform Engineering (Core):
Strong experience designing and building cloud-native solutions on AWS, with a focus on serverless and managed services.
Hands-on experience with Python and infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Experience with event-driven and message-based architectures, including pub/sub, queues, request/response, and data streaming patterns.
Solid experience working with NoSQL and relational databases.
Proven ability to build scalable, highly available, and low-latency systems in production environments.
GenAI & Intelligent Systems (Core):
Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and optimizing GenAI systems, including:
LLM-based applications
RAG pipelines and vector search
Agentic or workflow-driven AI patterns
Good understanding of prompt engineering, grounding, evaluation, and system limitations.
Leadership & Experience:
7+ years of experience in software design and development.
3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams through multiple product or platform releases.
4+ years of experience as a significant individual contributor, delivering real-world, production software.
Nice to have:
Mobile development experience (iOS or Android using Swift or Kotlin).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
Prior experience building customer-facing products at scale.
