Position Overview
We're searching for a Lead Product Manager to join our Product Management Europe team in a remote or hybrid location (offices are Brighton and Belfast).
The Lead Product Manager will act as a strategic advisor across Product Operations, Engineering, UX, Sales, and Services-bringing market insight, commercial awareness, and structured decision-making to complex product challenges.
This individual will help ensure that local product strategies align with broader European and global product direction, and that investments are clearly tied to customer outcomes, commercial value, and long-term platform strategy.

What You'll Do
- Partner closely with the VP, Product and Engineering and Director of Product Operations to help define, evolve, and communicate product strategy for the European portfolio, with an initial focus on Ireland.
- Provide strategic input into portfolio-level decision-making, including prioritisation, sequencing of initiatives, and trade-off analysis across products and markets.
- Develop and articulate clear problem statements, opportunity assessments, and strategic options to support informed product investment decisions.
- Bring strong market and industry insight, including competitive analysis, customer needs, regulatory considerations, and technology trends, to inform strategy.
- Support Product Operations in shaping and maintaining effective product planning, discovery, and governance processes.
- Work closely with Engineering and UX leadership to ensure strategic intent is translated into coherent roadmaps and executable plans.
- Contribute to customer discovery and validation activities, including interviews, workflow analysis, and synthesis of customer feedback, in partnership with Product Operations.
- Provide commercial and financial insight to ensure strategies include clear value propositions, revenue opportunities, and cost considerations.
- Define, track, and communicate strategic KPIs and success measures for major product initiatives.
- Support cross-product alignment and consolidation initiatives across Europe and North America where appropriate.
- Contribute to business cases for major investments, including options analysis and recommended approaches.
- Identify strategic risks, dependencies, and opportunities related to acquisitions, integrations, partnerships, or third-party solutions.

- Significant experience in product strategy, product management, or related roles within SaaS, insurance technology, or enterprise software environments.
- Strong understanding of the insurance and broker software ecosystem.
- Commercially astute with the ability to link product decisions to business outcomes.
- Digitally savvy and comfortable engaging in technical and architectural discussions.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills for senior and executive audiences.
- Deep or rapidly developable understanding of Applied's product portfolio.
