We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Summary:

This job demonstrates proficiency and efficiency in reviewing customer accounts related to one or multiple designated areas such as: identity verification, sanctions, disputes, chargebacks, abuse and fraud.
Your holistic reviews will include a balanced approach of assessing risk and merchant experience.
You will be working independently and within a team environment to serve as a credible partner who makes sound decisions.
Your critical thinking is End to End to understand the full Merchant Life Cycle, evaluating Identity, Intent, Business Model and the Financial Stability of our merchants.
You will work towards understanding relevant industry risk trends.
You are expected to propose efficiency improvements for the process, SOP, tools and participate in related projects.
Additionally, you need to provide subject matter guidance to peers, and work customer escalations when required.

Job Description:

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Skilled and fluid switching in multiple workflows, queues and programs
  • Undertakes ad hoc asks like training/mentoring, support remediation activities, etc.
  • Meet/Exceed performance Expectations
  • Ensure customers are compliant with PayPal Policy as defined in PayPal's Terms of Use
  • Complete secondary reviews where applicable
  • Work on VP+ Escalations when required
  • Support functional-area business reviews and proactively identify process/policy/KPI improvement opportunities
  • Apply analytic techniques to standard information sets in order to make logical and supported decisions.
  • Undertakes ad hoc asks like training/mentoring, support remediation activities, etc
  • Advanced understanding of risk operations policies and procedures

Expected Qualifications:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You have a Degree or other relevant third level qualification
  • Additional language skills are a plus, with French or German considered a significant advantage.
  • You have an ability to function in multiple workstreams covering a variety of tasks with a sense of urgency and follow-through
  • You have a strong working knowledge of external systems and PC based internet and software applications (e.g. internet, Microsoft Office, SQL etc.)
  • You are creative, good at learning on the fly, have strong customer focus and problem-solving skills and you operate with integrity
