Are you passionate about turning data into strategic impact? As the Knowledge Management (KM) Data Strategist Lead, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how Novartis leverages data and information to drive smarter decisions and add value. This role offers a unique opportunity to bridge business strategy with data and information needs to deliver the best possible value. You’ll champion strategic data-driven thinking, lead governance initiatives, and mentor others in analytical best practices—all while helping build a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.


 

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate KM and business goals into actionable data strategies and value-driven roadmaps

  • Define KPIs and success metrics aligned with strategic impact and performance outcomes

  • Act as liaison between KM, business units, and technical teams to align data priorities

  • Lead data governance practices to ensure quality, consistency, and compliance

  • Develop dashboards and analytical tools to track KM performance and insights

  • Present data insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership

  • Mentor KM team members in data literacy, storytelling, and analytical best practices

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Statistics, Data Science, or Information Science

  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in data strategy, consulting, or enterprise analytics

  • Proven ability to translate complex data into meaningful business insights

  • Strong communication skills for engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

  • Hands-on expertise with Python, R, SQL, PowerBI, Snowflake, and data visualization tools

  • Demonstrated agility and independence in navigating complex, ambiguous environments

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience applying design thinking methodologies to data strategy or analytics initiatives

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry
