The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Test Automation Engineer to join our Connectivity Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your career in test automation and quality engineering within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This team is responsible for providing test automation solutions, to support the Cubic engineering teams by building and maintaining test automation frameworks and tooling. The successful candidate is expected to bring an open, collaborative and innovative approach to their work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design, development, and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools.

  • Work closely with engineers and testers to help create and improve automated test suites.

  • Investigate and troubleshoot test automation issues and failures

  • Assist with integrating tests into continuous integration pipelines.

  • Collaborate with the team to implement new tools and processes that improve testing efficiency.

  • Gain exposure to performance testing, web and API testing, and testing dashboards.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute your ideas in a collaborative environment.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, computer/electronic engineering, or related science discipline.

  • Experience in a Test Automation role within the Telecom industry

  • Experience with programming or scripting (e.g. Python, C#, Java, etc.).

  • A self-starter with a proven ability to work independently, managing their own time and workload effectively.

  • Experience working with test automation tools such as /RestSharp/RestAssured/Soap UI/Selenium Webdriver/Load Runner/Jmeter.

  • Experience working in a continuous testing environment and using Continuous Integration tools.

  • Experience with functional and non-functional test automation.

  • A keen interest in software quality, automation, and continuous integration.

  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.

  • Willingness to learn and a proactive attitude.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Skills

  • Exposure to web or API testing.

  • Basic knowledge of version control (e.g. Git) or CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

  • Understanding of Agile or DevOps environments.

  • Interest in AI or machine learning in testing.

New hires at Cubic³ are required to work onsite five days a week during their six-month probation period to get to know the company, their team, and our ways of working. After probation, we offer a flexible arrangement of up to eight work-from-home days per month, provided it aligns with business needs and performance standards. This arrangement is not a given for all roles.
