Junior Electrical Engineer

Silent Aire - Dublin

What you will do

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced professionals on a variety of engineering projects.

How you will do it
  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and components

  • Prepare electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation

  • Support project delivery by performing calculations, simulations, and analysis

  • Participate in site visits, inspections, and commissioning activities

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and support maintenance activities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, civil, and software engineers

  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards, codes, and safety regulations

  • Assist in preparing reports, specifications, and project documentation

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within engineering processes

What we look for

  • Valid Work Permit/Right to Work in Ireland is essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline

  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals

  • Familiarity with electrical design tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, Dialux, EPLAN, ETAP, or similar)

  • Basic knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution, control panels, or instrumentation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Time management and organisation

  • Initiative and eagerness to learn

  • Adaptability and flexibility

  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines

Desirable Skills (Not Essential)
  • Internship or placement experience in an engineering environment
