Summary: 

This is a client-facing role in our Market Access team and an opportunity to collaborate with Investment Managers to drive fund growth and enhance distribution strategies.

The Junior Associate will be working within a dynamic team making a meaningful difference to our clients. The role provides exposure to many areas, including investor relations, marketing, risk and relationship management and will ensure you develop an understanding of multiple distribution channels.

The core objective of the team is to ensure investors can easily access clients’ funds and fund information, thus supporting growth in those products. It requires building strong relationships with colleagues, clients, investors and service providers across functional and geographic boundaries as well understanding associated distribution channels.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with internal business units to build personal knowledge and networks and be able to effectively respond to external queries
  • Log all communication and activity within Salesforce or relevant tracking sheets
  • Act in line with the team’s procedures and processes
  • Set up and co-ordinate client activities below for clients’ funds:
    • Passporting & country registration
    • Distribution & wrap platforms
    • Jurisdictional, investor-requested, reporting
    • Tax Reporting
    • Data dissemination via key investor databases
  • Owning a number of client relationships and working with them to meet distribution deliverables
  • Respond to fund or investor requested due diligence questionnaires
  • Provide scheduled reporting to clients, investors and internal stakeholders
  • Update:
    • Application & subscription forms
    • Marketing materials, including monthly and quarterly factsheets
  • Support investor rebate calculations & reconciliations

REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required

Education:

  • An internationally recognised professional degree/qualification, preferably in the areas of Finance, Business or Marketing.

Experience:

  • Graduate or 1+ years’ experience within an Investor Relations or Client Relations team within the financial services industry would be beneficial.
  • Some understanding of regulated fund structures, such as UCITS, AIFs and ETFs.
  • Working knowledge of another European language would be an added advantage.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Collaboration with colleagues across functional boundaries
  • High levels of personal integrity and client focus
  • Self-motivation, confidence and ownership of your work
  • Strong computer skills in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience of Salesforce or similar client relationship management tool would be a plus
