We are seeking Application Development Lead for P&R team’s Payments Product Processor development team. The successful candidate will interact with the key stakeholders from product, operations and other teams for handling of application activities & new projects. The candidate will also interact with development Project Manager, the development, testing, and production support teams, as well as other departments within Citigroup (such as the System Administrators, Database Administrators, Data Centre Operations, and Change Control groups) for TTS platforms.

The candidate should be well versed with GPPSP payments product with strong expertise on product technical, deployment & functional behavior.

Responsibilities:

  • Custom develops, customizes, and integrates solutions for a complete platform meeting business needs

  • Implements GPPSP product globally, providing robust hardware and software solutions

  • Designs, codes, tests, documents, and implements application release projects

  • Acts as GPPSP SME, designing payment flows and providing solutions

  • Experienced with payment schemes (e.g., Faster Payments) and messaging (ISO 8583, ISO 20022, SWIFT)

  • Builds enterprise transaction systems focused on recovery, stability, scalability, and performance

  • Works with JMS/MQ applications (technical exposure preferred)

  • Collaborates with Program Management and QC teams, ensuring SDLC/InfoSec compliance and proactive risk notification

Leadership Skills:

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking ability

  • Demonstrates strong responsibility and delivers quickly

  • Communicates effectively, documenting technical and functional specifications clearly

  • Proactive problem-solver with strong analytical and business skills

  • Builds relationships and promotes teamwork across global teams

  • Manages negotiations, difficult conversations, and prioritization effectively

  • Flexible to handle multiple complex projects and changing priorities

  • Promotes continuous process improvement, especially in code quality, testability, and reliability

Qualifications:

  • Extensive relevant experience

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications

  • Experience in managing and implementing successful projects

  • Working knowledge of consulting/project management techniques/methods

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
