BAE is searching for an IT Solution Architect to join our ESS-IT Engineering Tools team to lead the organization in advancing our technical solution architecture as part of our overall Digital Transformation strategy. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $130355 - $221603
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

BAE is searching for an IT Solution Architect to join our ESS-IT Engineering Tools team to lead the organization in advancing our technical solution architecture as part of our overall Digital Transformation strategy. Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
- Understand the Digital Ecosystem being developed within BAE including the functional activities that occur within it and how they map to the underlying technical capabilities. Partner with business systems owners to translate complex business problems into technical solutions.
- Mentor and assist business analysts, developers, and other IT resources on the digital ecosystem and how systems connect to and utilize these new technologies
- Set the vision and roadmap for the digital ecosystem in coordination with the various IT teams that provide support of the underlying systems.
- Evaluate application and infrastructure capabilities within the portfolio to identify gaps and provide strategy that would enhance business performance, effectiveness, and maintainability.
- Engage with internal teams, external vendors, and partners to analyze requirements from a systems perspective by interpreting business objectives and translating them into technical solutions.
- Act as key stakeholder in the design, identification of requirements and build out of additional and new product and technology capabilities.
- Lead development of future state solutions and define strategy to meet business, customer, and industry requirements to drive digital transformation.
- Champion application portfolio rationalization across business areas using disparate technical solutions to drive standardization. Incorporate standards into future state architecture to reduce technical complexity and facilitate business adoption.
- Work closely with product owners and other teams within ESS-IT to ensure a robust architectural runway that can support future business requirements.
- Provide spirited positive leadership in the design and implementation of IT systems. Challenge obsolete practices, question accepted truths and eliminate non-value-added processes.
- Work with industry partners and peers to understand and define the future state of digital architecture and drive BAE to fit within this ecosystem.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience leading customer workshop sessions to educate others on the latest technology trends and best practices
- Clear expertise in communicating and working effectively with executives in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and IT
- Proven track record leading customers through business process re-engineering
- Ability to elicit requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical individuals
- Ability to multi task (assess, prioritize/reprioritize and manage duties) and work on multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Ability to work across functional and technical teams
- Ability to analyze industry and foresee trends and changes to align solution design to future state of the market
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in a complex multi-system environment
- Experience in architecting a hybrid environment of on premise and cloud systems
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Engineering
- Understanding and knowledge of architectural frameworks UAF, TOGAF, or similar
- Experience with SYSML
