The Role
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic IP Network Engineer who is committed to their work, and should be comfortable working in a fast paced, highly flexible environment. The role will be responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of a global IP network. This is a great opportunity for an experienced IP engineer to demonstrate their technical and organisational ability, working in a small team of engineers at the cutting edge of IoT technologies.
In this role you will be:
- Responsible for the operations and maintenance of a global IP infrastructure.
- Driving the success of geo redundant connectivity solutions.
- Conscious of security at all layers.
- A key point of contact for vendors and providers.
- A mentor for less experienced engineers.
- CCNP (or above) level knowledge and experience in the following required: BGP, OSPF, IPSEC VPN, MPLS/eVPN, VXLAN.
- Firewalls – Fortinet, CheckPoint or similar.
- Cloud-based networking experience – Azure, AWS.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in IP network infrastructure operations and implementation.
- Experience working in a NOC environment preferred.
- Proven track record in working with small teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting TCP/IP issues.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Previous experience working to aggressive timelines essential.
- Commitment to provide a high quality and professional service.
- Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility for the completion of tasks.
- Ability to prioritise work tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach to work.
- Effective problem solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure.
