* Summary
* The IoT Strategist is responsible for working in collaboration with multiple technical teams across ITS to drive technical strategy, and sales GTM for IoT technologies for CDW customers. Successful IoT Strategists will design and develop capabilities that integrate with CDW ITS solutions leveraging the partner(s) technologies and adhering to industry best practices and norms.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Work with CDW ITS groups to develop cross architecture/team solutions leveraging IoT technologies
* Identify and evaluate emerging technologies for potential onboarding.
* Define and document repeatable consulting frameworks in order to accelerate sales.
* Provide leadership and guidance to sales team including technical and sales enablement in conjunction with Marketing teams
* Evangelize IoT Solutions throughout CDW by developing partnerships with ITS Practices (Digital Velocity, Hybrid Infrastructure, Security) in order to accelerate approved IoT solutions.
* Actively complete continued education in emerging technologies to effectively address customer needs and showcase innovative solutions
* Professional services delivery for IoT/CDW customers globally in respect to partner technologies and early adoption
* Focuses on evangelizing technical standardization and opinionated approaches for client solutions
* Assists with technical screening for new candidate interviews
* Provide IoT Transformation workshops, training events for customers and industry leaders on emerging capabilities in IoT technologies
* Occasionally (20% or less) perform billable work with CDW clients, or provide input on escalations that require Sr. skills for remediation(Consulting Engagements)
* Deliver presales consulting for IoT technologies that drive consulting services, and IoT and OT Products across ITS Service Delivery teams.
* Create/Review scopes and statements of work for assigned technologies
* Meet training and certification requirements for selected vendors
* Help DV to develop and mature our IoT practice areas in response to client needs and market demand
* Where possible, become top-level certified in the associated OEM or provider technology, in order to demonstrate expertise and to coach others on the process
* Travel estimate is 25% - external and internal projects when applicable
* Research and produce thought leadership collateral.
* Education and/or Skill-Set Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
* 7+ years of experience in deployment of IoT solutions
* Knowledge and skill level in identified competencies meet minimum requirements for role
* Previous direct customer consulting experience or equivalent understanding of role responsibilities
Required Qualifications
* Demonstrated understanding of IoT technologies
* Demonstrated knowledge of IoT solutions and capabilities
* Expert level proficiency in IoT
* Demonstrated knowledge of IoT public cloud platforms, aware of multi-platform solutions and capabilities
* Demonstrated ability to speak to business value of IoT solutions and technologies
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, must be able to lead client facing conversations to drive success in consulting engagements
* Demonstrate solid interpersonal skills, able to mentor and guide internal engineering and personnel technical development teams
* Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information.
* Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
* Ability to multitask, organize and prioritize.
* Ability to apply common sense while engaging with customers and providing solutions.
* Ability to understand and follow complex instructions and guidelines.
* Preferred Qualifications
* IoT Technology expertise necessary to support aligned focus areas
* IoT Platform expertise
* Operational Technology Integration
* Additional technology areas and experience: sensor integration, edge compute, data governance/strategy data experience, networking experience, cloud IoT solutions.
* Familiarity with Functional AI, IoT Constructs, Operational Technologies
* Proficient in at least one IoT public cloud platform
* Previous consulting experience
* Pay range:
* $121,000- $169,800 depending on experience and skill set Annual bonus target of $35,000 subject to terms and conditions of plan Benefits overview: https://cdw.benefit-info.com/ Salary ranges may be subject to geographic differentials
