Join our dynamic International Consumer Banking (ICB) team as an Internal Communications Director and lead the charge in crafting engaging strategies that unite and inspire our global workforce across the Chase and Nutmeg brands. Be the creative force that shapes our vibrant culture and drives impactful communication at every level.
As an Internal Communications Director - Chase & Nutmeg in the ICB Communications team, you will lead our internal communications strategy to drive engagement among our employees, while managing and owning our internal communications channels to foster a vibrant ICB culture, which includes the Chase and Nutmeg brands. You will work closely with the ICB leadership, product and marketing teams, and business functions including HR. You will also coordinate closely with other communications teams from across the firm, and you will have some direct and/or indirect management responsibilities.
You will bring a high level of creativity and a solutions-oriented mindset to the role, allowing you to work effectively at both strategic and tactical levels to deliver cohesive communications materials.
Job responsibilities

  • Create and execute a lasting and effective internal communications strategy for ICB that harnesses a start-up culture and is inclusive of a population with varied working styles, including contact centre-based roles
  • Work closely with the senior team to draft messaging, presentations, and other communications on their behalf to be distributed to employees. This will include capturing the authentic tone of voice of our key leaders
  • Manage and own all internal communications channels within the consumer business, including internal events and town halls
  • Write content and messaging (intranet articles, announcements, talking points, town hall content, blogs, video scripts, etc.) consistent with communications objectives
  • Develop and execute internal communications campaigns and initiatives, including partnering with the marketing and sponsorship teams
  • Partner with internal communications colleagues from across the firm to understand the wider corporate strategy, and apply it to the ICB business appropriately
  • Ensure effective communications globally, as needed, in coordination with communications colleagues in other markets. In particular, this will involve collaborating with others as ICB expands into new markets across Europe
  • Manage, directly or indirectly, talented team members already working on internal communications
  • Manage internal communications responses to reputational issues, in coordination with PR and social media colleagues
  • Work closely with in-house and agency teams to produce creative assets for internal use


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven experience of being a trusted adviser to senior executives on internal communications matters
  • Previous experience in the marketing and communications field
  • Strong knowledge of corporate internal and employee communications strategies, best practices, implementation and execution
  • Strategic thinking, attention to detail, with strong tactical execution skills. Comfortable with detailed planning and measurement
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills; strong editing ability; web/platform knowledge/digital savvy
  • Consultative approach with the ability to interact, influence and communicate effectively across the organisation
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask, work to tight deadlines and prioritise projects
  • Commitment to maintaining the firm's high standards related to risk, compliance and our Code of Conduct


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • BA or equivalent degree in Communications, Marketing or Languages
  • Solid understanding of the financial services industry across consumer banking and retail investment products
  • Previous experience in the internal communications field
