Role Overview
As an Associate Systems Engineer Intern, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on projects that directly impact our users and business. We are seeking highly motivated students with a background in full-stack development, automation and scripting to join our dynamic team of skilled systems engineers. You'll gain invaluable hands-on experience and contribute to building scalable solutions to enhance the ServiceNow Platform. This role provides a foundation for career growth while contributing to meaningful projects.
The successful intern candidate will be amenable to working in an exciting, fast paced, dynamic, collaborative environment. Our development teams focus on creating intuitive and scalable solutions that allow businesses to customize their application functionalities.
The successful candidate will join our SnowSk8s Team based in Dublin, Ireland. For this intern role we will be targeting Bachelor's Degree students graduating in 2028.

Job Description

• Build the best cloud software for businesses using a market leading development cloud platform.
• Collaborate daily with a team of like-minded developers, product managers and quality engineers using agile software development methodology.
• Master new areas and take ownership of features that matter to our customers.
• Design features with a core commitment to quality and an eye to how the products will evolve in future releases.
• Work in a Scrum-based Agile development process that is light on documentation and meetings and heavy on coding

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in a full-time Bachelor's Degree program in Computer Science or a related discipline at an accredited university
• Must be a student for the full duration of the internship and returning to college for at least one semester following completion of the internship i.e. graduating in 2028
• Must be available to start in May OR June 2026
• Commit to the full-time 12 weeks Summer internship duration
• Experience with back-end programming languages (Java, Python etc.) and scripting languages (Bash, Ruby etc.)
• Knowledge of scripting and automation is very beneficial
• Experience with Linux based environment
• Experience with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle
• Experience with debugging and testing software through a CI lifecycle
• Approach complex software challenges with critical thinking and innovative solutions
• Strong communication skills and experience working in diverse cross-functional teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in evaluating or integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving through AI tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or assessing AI's potential impact
• Understanding of foundational AI concepts including basic prompt engineering
• Full-stack development capabilities with software design principles and agile methodologies
• Demonstrated experience in constructing scalable, secure, and efficient software systems
• Proficiency in data structures and algorithms. Basic understanding of relational data modeling
• Previous software engineering experience gained from internships, academic or personal projects, coding competitions or relevant publications
