About Origina
Origina is a rapidly growing global challenger technology company on a mission to stop unnecessary technology change by helping enterprises to extend, protect and enhance their software assets. We believe organisations should be free to run their systems for as long as they choose - without being pushed into costly, unwanted upgrades that don’t align with their strategy, so we step in to provide an alternative from the original vendor.

We’re scaling fast, with a clear path to €0.5 billion in the next five years, and expanding our presence across Europe, the US, and Australia. As a leading force in independent enterprise software support, we help the world’s largest organisations take back control of their technology roadmap and unlock genuine commercial freedom.

If you’re energised by growth, excited by change, and motivated to help customers challenge long-standing industry norms, this is the team to join. At Origina, you’ll be part of a bold, fast-moving global business where your impact will be felt immediately.

The Role

The Strategic Business Unit (SBU) at Origina focuses on serving the world’s largest customers. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Interim Account Research Specialist to drive essential market intelligence and support executive outreach.

This position reports directly to the Growth Marketing Manager and will work closely with the SBU team on a dotted-line basis, focusing exclusively on targeted contact and account research.

This is an initial 4-6 month contract position offering an excellent foundation in market intelligence and sales operations. For a candidate who excels, this role is designed to lead into a permanent, larger role within the SBU or Sales Operations team.

2. Data Sourcing and Capture:

  • Tool Utilization: Efficiently use research tools including Google, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and AI-driven platforms (e.g., Copilot) to gather comprehensive contact information and organizational insights.
  • CRM Data Entry & Hygiene (Zoho):
    • Maintain data hygiene in the CRM (Zoho) by accurately updating contact details, company information, and roles.
    • Populate new executive contacts and map IT organizations and hierarchies within prospect accounts to ensure data readiness for marketing campaigns and sales efforts.

3. Account Intelligence Support:

  • Account Research: Collect and organize foundational information on strategic accounts to support senior team members' preparatory work.
  • Strategic Initiative Capture: Capture and document high-level strategic initiatives affecting the IT organizations of target prospects, focusing on data points relevant to technology services.
  • Information Management: Assist in compiling and optimizing various data sources into a cohesive, single view to support account planning efforts.

  • Clerical Proficiency: Proven ability to execute detailed, repetitive research tasks with a high degree of accuracy and focus.
  • Tool Savviness: Strong aptitude for quickly learning and efficiently using research tools (web search, LinkedIn, CRM).
  • Drive to Excel: Demonstrable initiative and a proactive approach to finding information and resolving data gaps.
  • Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with an ability to clearly document findings.
  • Reporting Structure Awareness: Ability to prioritize research tasks based on direction from the Growth Marketing Manager while supporting the strategic needs of the SBU.
  • An interest in technology and aspirations in sales operations, presales, sales, and technology
