The Infrastructure Engineer (Nutanix Specialist) will provide expert advice, design, implementation, and support for Nutanix systems in European IT services.
At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Infrastructure Engineer (Nutanix Specialist) to join our UniQue Luxembourg team.
What will you be doing in this role:
- Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, architectural considerations, risk analysis, gap analysis, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in the area of Nutanix and Citrix System engineering
- Provision of technical studies
- Elaboration of design documentation, with consultation with stakeholders
- Elaboration of vision documents focused upon Systems components
- Deliver the design, installation and configuration of these technologies
- Operate European Institution's IT services according to agreed service levels, ITSM best practices, internal policies and procedures
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level of technical support, register and troubleshoot incidents and escalating to external parties
- Creation and testing of standard operational procedures – backups, restore, monitoring etc.
- Implementing, configuring, administering, monitoring and maintaining the European Institution's IT systems to deliver a 24/7 secure, reliable and efficient service for the European Institution Case Management System and the whole organization;
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor’s level or three years of higher education or equivalent in professional experience plus five or more years of professional experience in Systems administration
- Previous experience as System administrator in a Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) solutions
- Previous experience in Designing, implementing and operating Nutanix Infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge and proven hands-on expertise in the administration of enterprise infrastructure, system and datacenters
- Proven experience in maintaining and monitoring Nutanix infrastructure, with knowledge of standard monitoring and management tools

- Good knowledge of English
Advantageous:
- General knowledge of networking, ICT infrastructure and systems
- Experience as technology expert in a second area of the following list: Security
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices in ICT operations
- Proven hands-on experience with other Nutanix solutions and features
- Proven hands-on experience with all other Citrix solutions
- Previous experience IT automation
