DuPont is currently looking for a HR Specialist, based in EMEA, to join one of our Global Businesses.
This position will report to the EMEA HR Lead and have an international remit, focussing on supporting our employees across EMEA, to enable them to deliver the business strategy.
Main responsibilities:
HR Consulting:
- Implement and support the delivery of HR programmes for the countries in the region, in alignment with the overall HR strategy and HR delivery model.
- Serve as point of contact for employee-related issues, providing guidance on policy interpretation and resolution processes.
- Collaborate with external lawyers to interpret, provide advice and administer country law and policies.
- Collaborate with local Leadership to advance a culture centered on feedback, partnership, transparent communications, and a positive employee experience.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
- Partner with line management throughout every stage of the application of the Company Discipline and Grievance policies. Collaborate with management and staff to promote a positive work environment.
- Partner with the HR Shared Services centre to respond to employee queries regarding explanation of benefits, payroll issues, workers compensation, absenteeism and other Human Resource information.
Labour relations:
- Develop and maintain relationships with Trade Union representatives and other stakeholders to ensure a healthy industrial relations climate.
- Provide advice on employee and labour relations across the region.
- Engage and consult with Works Councils & Trade Unions where relevant.
Talent Acquisition:
- Partner with business leaders to understand hiring needs and create tailored recruitment plans.
- Manage the full recruiting life cycle including job posting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the candidate experience, ensuring a seamless and engaging process.
- Build talent pipelines proactively.
- Foster relationships with local and international universities, industry organisations, and recruitment organisations to cultivate a strong network.
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all talent acquisition initiatives.
- Stay informed about regional labour market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
Talent Management:
- Support implementation of global Talent Management initiatives and processes e.g. performance management, succession management and administer employee annual performanc review processes.
- Partner with and coach line management when addressing performance issues.
- Partner with HR colleagues and Managers to identify internal mobility opportunities that promote talent movement across the organisation.
Learning & Development:
- Assist in developing and implementing employee training and development programmes that align with organisational goals.
- Identify projects, mentoring, coaching, and development opportunities based on individual development planning.
Rewards:
- Collaborate with Compensation & Benefits (C&B) regional leader to implement C&B policies in EMEA.
- Partner with C&B Leader and HR Manager to address employee compensation or benefits concerns to maintain competitiveness.
Compliance:
- Comply with all Health & Safety Policies and instructions and actively contribute to Company efforts to promote safe behaviour and safe systems of work.
- Ensure HR practices and procedures remain in compliance with employment law and reporting requirements.
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Behavioral Science, Business Administration, or related field.
- Applicants based in the UK must have Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) - Graduate membership.
- 3+ years of demonstrable HR Generalist experience, including, Employee relations, HR Operations, Talent management and Acquisition, Rewards, Learning & Development, Labour relations, and HR consultancy.
- Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages relevant to the EMEA region is a plus
- Demonstrable aptitude for written and verbal communications, coupled with excellent relationship building skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS such as Workday, jobboards, LinkedIn and Microsoft Office Suite.
Competencies:
- Knowledge of and experience of interpreting employment laws in EMEA countries would be advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven/stakeholder engagement approach to decision-making.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
