We are seeking an experienced and driven HR Manager to join our management team in Norway. Reporting to the HR Director EAMEA, this role will ensure that a high-quality HR function that reflects the needs of the business while recognising the importance of employee contribution to the business achieving high performance and ensures this is delivered.
Responsibilities include employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, compliance, training and development and supporting the implementation of strategic HR programs.
He/she will play a strong role as part of the Norway Management team, ensuring all solutions take into account wider Norwegian aspects in the best interests of the Company as a whole.
Key responsibilities:
Provide HR leadership, guidance and support to local Management teams to ensure delivery and achievement of objectives in accordance with Group and EAMEA objectives and plans.
Provide leadership, direction, coaching, management and support to Corporate Management teams in accordance with Group strategy and plans.
Lead and manage delivery of resourcing requirements and resource planning for the local bases and Corporate teams.
Lead on and manage Union relations including management of market data, preparation for pay negotiations including working with Decision Support/Finance on cost modelling.
Provide independent coaching to employees and managers to resolve work related problems in relation to performance or discipline-based issues
Develop and nurture employee talent by actively contributing to performance management and talent management programs
Ensure the talent acquisition process supports the acquisition of key and high performing talent with a fast paced and cost-effective delivery
Develop and provide realistic job previews for incoming talent and assess talent by coaching management on the talent acquisition process and interview techniques as required
Oversee the employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit
Provide managers with the necessary metrics to ensure they are aware of how their area of responsibility is performing, e.g., turnover reports, absence statistics etc.
Manage Emergency Response Planning (ERP) - Next-of-kin lead (Humanitarian Assistance Manager)
Assist with workforce planning and budgets in area of responsibility
Advise leaders/managers on all employee relations issues including current employment legislation impacts and current disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Lead or assist on key projects.
Work with key stakeholders on Learning and development for their area of responsibility
Ensure that HR Policies and Procedures reflect current employment law legislation and support our overall people strategies
Ensure that human resources services are provided in compliance with Company and Client established system policies, procedures and practices
Person Specification:
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business or related field is required
Experience:
Minimum of ten years of progressive Human Resource leadership experience essential
A proven background in providing broad generalist HR advice including policy implementation, and compensation/benefits in a unionised environment
Experience in working with different global locations and with different cultures essential
Experienced in providing support to managers particularly with employee relations, discipline and grievances, talent acquisition, and performance management.
Experience in coaching and providing training for employees
HRIS experience is essential
Demonstrate a real understanding of business issues
Experience of working with change management projects desirable
Current Trade Union or Industry association liaison and employee relations experience within a medium to large company
A strong team player
Experience in working with different global locations and with different cultures is an advantage
