Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Medicare/Medicaid/Medi-Cal cost reports and payment reconciliations for a variety of providers and programs.
  • Assist with the rate-setting process for FQHCs and RHCs and over time help clients obtain final rates.
  • Work collaboratively with higher level staff to help represent clients during audits, provide auditors with documentation and respond to their questions.
  • Develop good working relationships with clients to maintain and provide ongoing service to them every year.
  • Work with Senior Staff to help explain the results of our work to the clients, impacts of audit adjustments, and advise them on how to respond.
  • Plan and manage multiple projects with the same deadlines during busy seasons.
  • Peer-review cost reports prepared by fellow associates.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 year's healthcare accounting or financial consulting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • Medicare/Medicaid/Medi-Cal cost reporting knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to identify issues regarding Medicare/Medicaid/Medi-Cal payment methods.
  • Global knowledge in healthcare operations, law, regulations, and accreditation requirements preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and coordinate, as well as the ability to accomplish multiple priorities.

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $54,000 to $90,000 with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
