About the Team

The Head of Systems and Process leads a multi-functional team across the UK, Ireland and Canada focused on developing, enhancing and maintaining our technology eco-system and business processes enabled by that eco-system.  

We have a relatively flat organisational structure, and as a member of the team you are accountable for end-to-end responsibility for your area of focus and will need to be flexible and able to take on additional and/or different accountabilities as required.

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to support the Chief Executive Officer & the broader business teams to execute the business strategy more consistently and reliably than the competition by optimizing our systems and third-party vendor relationships, enhancing and automating our processes and ensuring a robust operating environment on which the business can continue to grow and flourish.

This role will require you to build strong internal and external relationships and manage a multi-functional team to deliver on the business objectives.

What Does the Role Look Like?

You would be:

  • Taking the lead role in developing and delivering a detailed I.T. strategy with relevant stakeholders to support the overall business strategy;
  • Ensure that I.T. and other business systems and processes are robust, flexible, configurable and scalable to support business growth;
  • Oversee the I.T. infrastructure and third-party partners to ensure it delivers to the business requirements and is flexible to adapt to new requirements and business growth;
  • Analyse the requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs and provide appropriate solutions, improving automation and simplifying processes;
  • Oversee project and change management and delivery to ensure optimum use of resources, on time delivery and risk mitigation;
  • Develop external support structures and third-party relationships to complement internal resources and provide additional skills and resources when required;
  • Own Business Continuity Policy and maintain a Business Continuity Plan covering all aspects of the business;
  • Manage I.T. related risks, with a particular focus on cyber threats, security and data protection;
  • I.T. reporting and analytics to facilitate real-time information / KPIs to support business needs; and
  • Lead and develop the internal team and drive ownership and accountability.

We’re also looking for someone who also has:

  • All all-round I.T. professional with proven experience in similar roles
  • Strong project and change management skills, evidenced by roll-out of significant projects
  • Ability to drive change across all functions within an organisation, improving automation, efficiency and functionality
  • Experience of end-to-end systems development
  • Strong technical skills,
  • Ability to quickly understand systems, processes and inter-dependencies.
  • Excellent organisational, leadership and decision-making skills, with a demonstrable record of delivering as part of a senior team
  • Strong communication and motivational skills, able to communicate and influence at all levels
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced technology driven environment
  • Professional I.T. or similar qualification
  • Experience in financial services is desirable
