Head of Marketing (Sky Ireland)

Our award-winning Marketing team in Ireland crafts and delivers exciting campaigns across all routes to market to deliver brand and business objectives, drive growth and revenue across our Sky and NOW brands.

The team is responsible for driving the brand and growth strategy for Ireland across media, digital, sponsorship and creative. This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in the Dublin office.

What you'll do:

• Inspire, lead, and grow a high-performing creative marketing team, driving world-class campaigns that move the needle on brand metrics and deliver against ambitious commercial goals.
• Set the creative vision for Sky Ireland’s full product portfolio — including TV, Broadband, Sports, and Mobile — consistently pushing for innovation and standout in market.
• Shape and lead the brand and creative strategy for the NOW streaming service, leveraging compelling content partnerships and Sky originals to capture attention and build brand love.
• Act as the brand guardian for Sky and NOW in Ireland, owning and evolving the Masterbrand strategy to ensure a clear, consistent, and compelling brand presence across all channels.
• Support the development of the BTL marketing strategy, creating smart, insight-driven customer communications that deepen engagement and loyalty across Sky Ireland’s existing base.
• Build strong cross-market relationships with Sky UK and Sky Group marketing teams — ensuring Ireland’s needs are championed and our local strategy is aligned with the broader brand vision.
• Lead and evolve the agency operating model, nurturing strategic partnerships with our creative agencies to deliver exceptional work now and into the future.
• Partner with the Director of Marketing on annual and quarterly planning, shaping the strategic direction and marketing priorities for Sky Ireland
• Inspire, empower, and develop a high-performing marketing team — fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous growth. You'll coach and mentor your direct reports and wider team, ensuring we attract, retain, and grow top talent to deliver exceptional performance and unlock their full potential.
• Champion insight-led marketing, working closely with the Insights team to embed research and customer understanding at the heart of every campaign — from shaping messaging to measuring effectiveness and refining strategy.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, commercial, retail, and digital teams to ensure that creative strategy and messaging align with broader campaign goals and business priorities.
• Manage creative budgets with precision — delivering strong ROI, clear financial reporting, and strategic allocation of spend to maximise impact.
• Be a key member of the Consumer Group and Marketing Leadership Team, helping shape the future of Sky Ireland through contribution to wider people strategies, planning cycles, and organisational innovation.

What you'll bring:  

• Proven experience in Senior marketing roles (preferably Head of level), with a solid record of delivering at this level
• Proven strategic leadership within complex matrix organisations, seamlessly translating insight into execution across cross-functional teams
• Brilliant collaborator – ability to work across teams and countries with impeccable stakeholder management skills
• Confidently presents to Director and C-level executives at Sky, earning trust and support to drive key KPIs
• Experienced people leader skilled in managing large teams, setting a compelling vision, defining clear objectives, and fostering a high-performance culture
• Strong commercial acumen, balancing creative ambition with business impact and ROI
• Experience leading purpose driven communications, anchored in the company values, brand ethos and customer promise
• Brings a challenger mindset with a track record of pushing creative boundaries to deliver standout work.

Your office base:

Dublin

Our striking Ireland HQ has an A-list location on Burlington Road, walking distance from central Dublin. Grand Canal Dock and Pearse train stations are both around 1.5km away, and we’re a short stroll from the buses of Baggot Street, Leeson Street and Waterloo Road. There’s plenty of parking for cyclists too.
