About the role

EdgeTier is currently looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to step into a 13-month maternity cover starting in December. In this hands on leadership role you will guide a small but growing marketing team, roll up your sleeves where needed to ensure high-quality execution, work closely with our commercial leaders, and help maintain momentum on strategy while delivering impactful results day-to-day.

This role will be based out of our Dublin office.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will:

  • Support the business in achieving ambitious but realistic growth targets.

  • Increase the share of inbound pipeline by owning and optimising our demand generation activities.

  • Develop and support the marketing team, while collaborating closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Success.

  • Represent marketing at the leadership table, shaping commercial strategy and ensuring marketing strategy aligns with company goals.

What you'll be doing

No two days in a start-up are ever the same; however, some of your core responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing a Marketing team (currently: one Demand Generation Specialist and one Senior Content Specialist).

  • Creating, managing, and delivering a full calendar of campaigns, events and content programs.

  • Owning and optimising demand generation to grow pipeline and improve conversion rates at every stage of the funnel.

  • Managing and building relationships with partners (including consultancies and associations) and freelancers (e.g. PPC).

  • Supporting Product, Sales, and Customer Success with launches, sales enablement, customer insights, collateral and events.

  • Representing Marketing at leadership team meetings.

  • Owning marketing forecasting, budgeting, and reporting on performance against KPIs.

Who you are

You’re a results-focused, data-driven marketer. You thrive in a scaling environment and know how to both set strategy and jump into execution when needed. You are hands-on and can jump into execution when needed. You're commercially minded with strong stakeholder management skills and an aptitude for persistently driving tangible results.

As the successful candidate, you will have:

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with commercial acumen.

  • A proven track record of leading a Marketing team within a scaling tech company (Series A / high growth preferred).

  • Hands-on experience in B2B SaaS technology businesses.

  • A strong background in demand generation, content and event marketing.

  • Experience targeting industries with high customer service demands (e.g. e-commerce, travel and gaming) preferred.

  • Experience balancing both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.

  • Experience delivering against growth targets in a commercial environment.

What makes this role exciting?

This is a unique opportunity to lead a Marketing team through an exciting stage of growth on a 12-month contract. We won't lie, there will be challenges, but they are the sort of challenges that you can sink your teeth into and drive towards a rewarding solution. You'll also get the chance to work alongside supportive and ambitious colleagues in a fun work environment where your impact will be felt daily.
