As Group Manager of Product for GitLab's Analytics stage, you'll lead a high-impact team focused on transforming how organizations leverage data insights throughout their DevSecOps lifecycle. Reporting directly to the VP of Product, you'll collaborate with Data and Analytics functions across the business to drive strategic vision and execution.
In this role, you'll shape our product strategy for GitLab's comprehensive Analytics ecosystem—encompassing how we collect, process, store, manage, and visualize data through our unified data insights platform. You'll ensure our architecture maintains exceptional performance as GitLab scales, establishing a robust foundation for enterprise-level data exploration.

What You'll DoBuild & Develop an Elite Product Team- Attract, recruit, and retain exceptional product talent in a competitive market
- Design personalized growth trajectories with your team members, balancing individual aspirations with company needs
- Provide timely, candid feedback and decisive coaching to address performance gaps
- Architect and champion the Analytics stage vision, ensuring perfect alignment with GitLab's strategic objectives
- Collaborate closely with executive leadership (VP of Product, CPO, CTO, CEO) to shape product direction
- Transform high-level vision into actionable, prioritized roadmaps with clear milestones and dependencies
- Leverage data insights and customer feedback to guide product decisions and measure success
- Maintain unwavering focus on quality while balancing velocity and innovation
- Consistently translate customer challenges into valuable product solutions
- Orchestrate technical alignment across Analytics components and throughout the DevSecOps lifecycle
- Eliminate silos by fostering deep collaboration with Engineering, UX, Quality, Data, Legal, and Go-to-Market teams
- Identify product overlap opportunities and facilitate cross-team solutions
- Articulate the Analytics vision through compelling customer conversations, documentation, and demonstrations
- Create internal momentum through showcases, blog posts, and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- Develop comprehensive GitLab product expertise to identify integration opportunities and strategic advantages
What you'll bring
- Experience leading a team of Product Managers
- Experience as a Product Manager with recognised achievements during your tenure as an IC
- Experience hiring teams in high-growth companies
- Experience in DevSecOps
- Experience with large scale data platforms, and customer-facing data/analytics products
- Understanding of the competitive landscape for data analytics, with a focus on DevSecOps best practices and AI-driven workflows
- Technical background or clear understanding of data movement systems from instrumentation, ingestion, storage, processing/transformation, and analytical presentation layer.

About the team
You will be leading a geographically distributed team of Product Managers while working closely with Engineering and UX counterparts. The team is focused on GitLab's Analytics section, which covers the instrumentation, collection, processing, transformation and presentation of GitLab’s platform data for use by internal team members and customers alike. .

The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
