Summary: Reporting to the Group Finance systems manager, the Reporting & Systems Analyst will be an integral part of the team’s success. This role will combine strong financial systems expertise with advanced data analysis and process optimization skills.


The Reporting & Systems Analyst will oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and processes within the group finance organization to support our financial processes and strategic objectives. The role will collaborate with various departments to enhance system functionality and manage system rollout. Systems currently in use include Sage Intacct (ERP), Yooz (Accounts Payable Processing), Expensin (Expense Reclaim), Travelperk (Travel) and Adaptive Insights (FP&A).


Specific to Adaptive insights, the Reporting & Systems Analyst will centrally support the processes surrounding the FP&A Adaptive insights system to deliver controlled and streamlined data, processes and reports for the FP&A team. Additionally, the successful candidate will help drive streamlining and automation of data processes within the wider group finance team.

           

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Systems Management

  • Working within the wider finance systems team, oversee and manage the finance systems, ensuring they operate effectively and efficiently on a day to day basis. This includes solving issues raised within Finance to support the delivery of longer term finance systems objectives (migrations, integrations etc.).
  • Become a subject matter expert on the group finance systems and tools, to support the department.
  • Ensure robust documentation and controls are developed & maintained in all reporting processes in respect of finance systems.
  • Partner with Technology and other stakeholders to support data governance and integration.
  • Support the Waystone Group Finance team by contributing to finance transformation initiatives and participate in business wide projects.

FP&A tooling support

  • Manage and enhance reporting within Adaptive Insights, ensuring control execution, data accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Support the FP&A team in preparing, validating, and consolidating data for monthly reporting cycles.
  • Collaborate with the FP&A team to generate reporting templates for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting cycles through Adaptive Office Connect and the platform.
  • Drive process optimization and standardization across FP&A reporting workflows.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and other FP&A team members in the coordination of and management of data analysis .
  • Prepare data uploads and extraction from Adaptive Planning and other supporting systems.
  • Coordinate the documentation of Policies & Procedures around the use of Adaptive Planning.


Experience:

  • Experience with Adaptive Insights, Sage or similar EPM/ financial reporting tools.
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Power Query and Power BI (data modelling, dashboards, automation).
  • Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with system integration and data migration.
  • Understanding of cloud data environments (AWS preferred).
  • Experience in process optimization, automation, and standardization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Solution orientated individual.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both finance and technical teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preference for an individual who has experience of working within a Group Finance team.

Education:

  • A relevant third level degree.
  • Certification in finance systems (eg, Adaptive Insights) is a plus.
