Job DescriptionAbout this job:
- The Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team is a team providing actuarial oversight, constructive challenge and support, in addition to fulfilling its required regulatory responsibilities. It has responsibility for the Group and legal entities within the Group.
About the role:
As part of the Non-Life Legal Entity & Solvency II team you will be involved in a variety of activities including:
- Delivering IFRS 17 quarterly and annual reporting requirements for the non-life legal entities in Canada and Asia
- Maintaining documentation of processes and procedures
- Working closely with Finance to ensure the efficient production of inputs to quarterly and annual IFRS17 financial statements
- Contributing to the monitoring of changes in rules and guidances or market practice relating to the calculation of IFRS 17 requirements
- Contribute to the continued enhancement of the IFRS17 actuarial environment
- Supporting the team in its work for ad hoc projects, such as responding to requests from the regulator
You will in addition, as part of the wider Legal Entity & Solvency II team have the opportunity to provide assistance on other Group related tasks, including Solvency II.
QualificationsAbout you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Studying toward an actuarial qualification
- Proficiency in the analysis of data and strong MS Office skills
- High motivation, team-orientation and adaptability
- Ability to work under pressure within prescribed deadlines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to develop and translate new ideas into effective business solutions
- Effective communication skills and proficiency in English
