Role Overview

As a Graduate Site Engineer, you will be based on site, working closely with the Site Engineer, Senior Engineer, and wider project team. This role is designed to provide practical, hands-on experience across surveying, setting out, quality assurance, concrete works, and site documentation.

You will support the delivery of day-to-day construction activities while developing the technical and organisational skills required to progress into a fully qualified Site Engineer. As your experience and confidence grow, you will be given increasing responsibility for carrying out engineering tasks independently, with appropriate guidance and supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Surveying & Setting Out

  • Assist with surveying and setting out using GPS, total stations, and laser levels.

  • Develop skills to carry out basic setting out under supervision.

Concrete Works

  • Carry out concrete sampling, slump tests, and cube testing.

  • Maintain concrete records, registers, and pour schedules.

Quality Assurance

  • Complete pre- and post-pour checks and quality inspections.

  • Record firestopping installations and maintain relevant documentation.

  • Report quality issues and defects to the Site Engineer.

Documentation & Records

  • Maintain daily site diaries and records of labour, plant, and materials.

  • Update drawing registers and identify drawing revisions or design changes.

  • Assist with general project documentation and reporting.

Site Support

  • Work closely with Site Engineers, subcontractors, and the wider project team.

  • Monitor site activities to ensure works follow drawings and specifications.

  • Develop practical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and site procedures
