Job Description

As part of the expansion of its activities, Sia is hiring a GenAI Consultant for its San Francisco office.

Reporting to the AI & Data Business Unit, you will design and implement cutting-edge GenAI/LLM solutions across various industries. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Platform Engineers to deliver tangible business value through AI. You will guide clients toward the best approaches—such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agents, or fine-tuning—for optimized and cost-effective impact.

Beyond prompt creation, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable products. You will be involved throughout the entire AI lifecycle, ensuring seamless model integration optimized for performance and security, while addressing infrastructure challenges. Your role includes research, design, implementation, and optimization of AI systems.

You have strong expertise in both:

  • Model stack (FM, VLM, SLM): leveraging open or proprietary foundational models such as GPT-x, Claude, or Gemini, as well as lightweight models deployable at the edge like Mistral or Arcee AI, to deliver cost-effective solutions to business users.

  • The GenAI application framework ecosystem: including chaining, retrieval-augmented generation, autonomous agents, and vector search tools (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, pgvector).

Qualifications

You hold a degree from a top-tier engineering school, and we are looking for:

  • 1–2 years of experience in a similar role.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and generative AI frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex.

  • Knowledge of natural language processing and understanding (NLP/NLU).

  • Expertise in embedding vectorization and semantic search techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities.

Additional Information

Please send us your resume and cover letter in English.

Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria for the VIE contract as defined by Business France:

  • You must be between 18 and 28 years old at the time of registration.

  • The assignment must begin no later than the day of your 29th birthday. No exceptions can be made.

  • You must be a national of France, a European Economic Area (EEA) member state (the 28 EU countries plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein), or Monaco.

  • You must comply with your home country’s national service obligations.

  • You must have full civil rights and a clean criminal record.

You can expect…

  • A supportive atmosphere, where innovation and initiative are encouraged.
  • A commitment to diversity, inclusion and employee well-being.
  • Opportunities to flex your intellectual and creative muscles.
  • Welcoming, friendly and professional colleagues.
  • A personal development plan with clear goals for advancement.
  • A meritocratic approach to promotion that rewards those who exceed expectations.
  • A competitive salary, in line with the market and your peers.
  • Flexible working arrangements.
  • A performance-related bonus.
  • Health and Life insurance.
  • An employer-matched contribution pension scheme.
  • 27 days holiday per year, plus Bank Holidays
