Job Description:

Join Ipsen Poland as our next General Manager and drive impact where science meets purpose. This is an opportunity to lead a passionate team, shape strategy, and transform lives—right from the heart of Central Europe. Are you ready to make a difference that matters?

Our General Manager will be responsible for coordinating and leading the business of the country. The GM will also be accountable for driving profitable business growth in the country and leading change within the strategic framework of the Ipsen Group, as well as the objectives of the International Division.

Drive compliant growth and profitability 

  • Initiate and develop an articulate vision of the country’s long-term goals and ambitions
  • Propose and achieve sales & profit contribution targets
  • Prepare and execute Strategic Plan and budget in line with Group strategy
  • Propose and implement resource allocation to products/segments/targets, in order to optimize growth and profitability
  • Seek local Business Development opportunities

Market Access & Public Affairs

  • Create and nurture close relationships with key local influencers, decision makers (including institutional bodies), and local pharma associations
  • Champion the strategy execution for key customers/KOLs & Scientific Societies
  • Develop and foster relationships with global KOL's and health care societies in the key therapeutic areas, Oncology, Neurology and Rare Diseases
  • Actively look for opportunities to represent and establish IPSEN as leading global biotech company and a recognized oncology player
  • Lead and guide local registration and pricing/reimbursement programs
  • Manage relationships/agreements with distributors & partners (when relevant)

Lead and promote continuous improvement in Commercial Excellence

  • Lead and guide local Marketing, Sales and Medical staff on overall business and product priorities to support the ambition of becoming a Commercial Powerhouse.
  • Seek continuous improvement in Excellence effectiveness (product positioning, pricing, market access, market research, medico-marketing processes, and sales force effectiveness).
  • Ensure optimal support and understanding of local business needs as well as process alignment, by fostering transversal teamwork with Divisional functions, Commercial Transformation Department, Franchises and Corporate teams

Launch Excellence

  • Champion launch strategy execution in the geography and develop cooperative way of working with global functions to ensure best in class launches
  • Lead local product launch activities and define the local medico-marketing and market access strategies and tactics
  • Lead and shape pre-launch activities

Leading transformation

  • Support the One Ipsen vision of becoming a leading global biotech company by fostering commercial excellence
  • Ensure the necessary capabilities and behavior that help Ipsen to step to the next level and become a commercial powerhouse
  • Support the ambitious group objectives through setting stretch goals and making bold promises

Leadership

  • Attract, develop and retain talents to shape the future of IPSEN
  • Design and lead optimal Operations organization, ensure continuous Business model (organization and processes) adaptation to changing market and environment
  • Develop Leadership and Change capacities of the management team
  • Lead and motivate the local team.
  • Align and energize team around common objective

Be a global leader

  • Play a leadership role within International and Ipsen’s GLT
  • Gather and share critical market insights and best practices with global functions and other countries/regions
  • play a proactive role in Ipsen’s transformation developing new business, digital approaches and innovative ways of working
  • play a key role in global Ipsen’s talent management (sourcing new talents, mentoring…)

Ethics & Compliance

  • Ensure that adequate financial structures and controls are in place.
  • Comply with Company guidelines and country/industry standards on ethics and compliance.
  • Act as a role model displaying the 5 Ipsen Ways of Being
  • Ensure that all activities are undertaken in accordance with all Ipsen SOPs, policies, directives and relevant national guidelines.
