This Role:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Global Mobility Specialist to establish and manage our global mobility function. In this newly created role, you will be responsible for building scalable processes and ensuring a smooth experience for our internationally mobile employees — whether on assignment, relocating, or frequently traveling across borders.

You will act as the go-to expert for all matters related to international employment, immigration, taxation, social security, and compliance — supporting both employees and HR teams across countries.

Work Location: This hybrid role is open to candidates based in any of these locations: Dublin/London/Frankfurt/Amsterdam. Please check our website for office addresses.

Responsibilities:

Program Development & Strategy

  • Design and implement scalable and compliant global mobility processes and policies.
  • Identify and manage external partners (e.g., relocation agencies, immigration providers, tax consultants).
  • Establish documentation and tools to manage assignments, travel, and cross-border work consistently.

Assignment & Mobility Management

  • Coordinate international assignments, short-term travel, permanent transfers, and remote work abroad.
  • Act as a liaison between sending and receiving country HR teams to ensure smooth transitions and aligned responsibilities.
  • Support managers and employees throughout the mobility lifecycle (pre-departure, during assignment, and repatriation or integration).

Compliance & Documentation

  • Apply for and manage A1 certificates, visas, work permits, and other legal documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws, social security regulations, and tax requirements in all involved countries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Payroll) to ensure accurate and timely processing.

Employee Support

  • Advise employees on relocation-related topics such as housing, health insurance, registration, and local requirements.
  • Serve as the point of contact for mobile employees, ensuring a smooth and supportive experience.

Contracting & Vendor Management

  • Draft assignment letters, secondment agreements, and related employment documentation.
  • Negotiate and coordinate with service providers, including cost estimates and invoicing oversight.

Risk Management & Data

  • Monitor regulatory changes that impact international employment and mobility.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all mobile employees and assignments.
  • Report on mobility activity, risks, and cost trends to HR leadership.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in global mobility, international HR, immigration, or a similar field.
  • Strong understanding of cross-border employment, international social security (e.g. A1), visas, and tax considerations.
  • Experience working with third-party providers and coordinating across countries.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English; other languages (especially German, French, or Spanish) are a plus.
  • A valid visa or the right to work in the EU/EEA.

Desirable

  • Experience in a fast-growing, multi-country company or a start-up environment.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and mobility tracking tools.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to build things from scratch.

Note: ATC does not sponsor applications for visas. Please submit your updated resume/CV in English.

Benefits

The remunerating package, including salary and benefits, is negotiable depending on experience. The package may include the following:

    • Competitive market salary
    • Performance-based bonus
    • Hybrid working environment
    • AIG Virtual Care Programme
    • Company pension plan (depends on local laws)
