The Gold Global Brand Unit holds global responsibility for the production, packaging development, innovation and strategic marketing of an extensive range of premium and prestige spirits brands. The Consumer Insights team are strategic business partners to the Brand Teams across all of these brands and their role is to inspire consumer love and empathy through consumer closeness and by being the voice of the consumers, making consumer data and insights available, informing, actionable and inspiring. The Consumer Insights vision is: Everything we do is guided and inspired by a real and deep understanding and strong empathy for our consumers.

As a Global Consumer Insights at Gold, you will:

  • Work with the Global Insights Team as a strategic business partner, leveraging consumer understanding to guide and challenge strategy, planning & activation development
  • Drive Consumer Centricity, a key ingredient in Pernod Ricard brand building model, across the business by putting consumers and shoppers at the heart of all decision making. Be an ambassador on the consumer voice, both in and externally
  • Develop actionable insights & enhance consumer knowledge, leading, and partnering with Marketing / Brand teams and Global CI community, to unlock new approaches/frameworks for insights

3. Accountabilities / Responsibilities

  • Contribute to develop Gold’s long-term ambition and strategy based on robust consumer, shopper and category insights
  • Help identify innovation opportunities based on consumer insights to input to strategy and recommended action
  • Support the Insights Team in testing and validating the global portfolio strategy, leading communications campaigns, winning brand concepts, packaging design, format innovation, wetgoods, and optimal portfolio ranges with consumers
  • Actively engage in industry research and trends, anticipating future consumers or market needs and share those insights and learnings throughout the team.

  • Be able to build strong consumer relationship and delivering consumer-centric solutions
  • Engage partners, build partnerships – internal & external – and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Be a trusted advisor with a strong affinity for action, pro-actively participate in strategic and tactical decision making
  • Storytelling & presentation: extract value from info, connect sources and communicate Data / Insights in relatable, memorable, and persuasive stories & effective visualization
  • Comfortable working with all levels of stakeholder within an organisation
  • Able to influence the organization for all teams, to display key Consumer Centric behaviours:
    • Clarity in what our brands provide to our consumers.
    • Connection with culture
    • Consumer at the heart of every decision

4.2 Academic (Qualifications) & Professional experience required

  • Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Marketing, Business, or a quantitative field (e.g. Statistics, Mathematics, Economics)
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify patterns or irregularities in larger quantities of data
  • Experience in social media (usage and analysis), social listening tools and website analytics
  • Design skills to create easy-to-read reports, real-time dashboards and consider how to best showcase insights/data for better brand team understanding)
  • Fluent in English – other languages a bonus
  • Experience in project management
