Responsibilities :
JOB PURPOSE/MISSION/SUMMARY:
To fulfill the role effectively, the individual must possess extensive knowledge in pricing and finance, along with a profound understanding of Lexmark's business models and the unique challenges faced in specific geographic regions. The responsibilities of this position involve thoroughly evaluating and endorsing special bids to enhance profitability and operational efficiency through the strategic utilization of business intelligence and analytics.
As an approver, he/she must grasp the diverse range of business and pricing decisions that arise within the Lexmark environment, ensuring adherence to global pricing guidelines and/or region-specific directives. Moreover, the individual should be capable of interpreting and translating outcomes from their business and financial reports, utilizing the insights to make informed pricing decisions aimed at boosting revenue while maintaining pricing integrity across platforms such as SAP, D365, Experlogix, and others.
This role necessitates a combination of business partnering, financial management, and process reengineering skills to drive success and growth within the organization.
COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:
SPECIAL PRICING APPROVAL
- Manages bid cycle proactively by partnering with finance controller and sales leaders to understand the business model and their respective geo challenges.
- Implements understanding of Lexmark Corporate Financial Policy and Global Process & Policy in evaluating Lexmark's profitability and other financial requirements
- Collaborates with other business units such as Supplies Business, CSS, Product Marketing and etc.
- Approves and/or rejects special bids by applying good business judgment and strong understanding of sales & financial requirements.
- Structures counter-proposal on special bids to assist Sales team in closing profitable business for Lexmark
- Articulates clearly and effectively to key stakeholders for any pricing decision made.
- Makes assessments for all Special Bids (Traditional) for all countries in understanding the sales requirements including but not limited to: account strategy, partner / channel strategy and sales pipeline management in a country Finance and country General Manager capacity
- Reviews and approves price override requests
PRICING SYSTEM & PROCESS LEAD
- Owns the Configure Price Quote (CPQ) process and execution in compliance with WW process & policies in collaboration with all other cross functional teams.
- Establishes consistent documentation of CPQ approval processes and all other related processes such as RMA, SAP Pricing Override and etc. Documents new &/or revised process & workflows.
- Leverages WW best practices identifying indicators for improvement opportunities.
- Collaborates with EBA and WW Pricing effectively for continuous special pricing process improvement.
- Represent Geo in regular EBA Key User meeting, assist and drive any new system, process launch in the Geo.
PRICING ACTION OWNER
- Prepares financial modeling for new products launch and coordinating with WW Pricing, Country Finance director and GEO Marketing while ensuring profitability
- Conducts pricing review with all business functions utilizing in-depth understanding of the business requirements including but not limited to mode of delivery of the services & goods, various pricing considerations such as competition and profitability requirements, costing impact and other business constraints.
- Assists Pricing Manager and Finance Director in developing pricing methodology meeting business and financial requirements
- Responsible for translating all the pricing methodology in pricing computation, conversion, maintenance and uploading into various systems in SAP, D365/Experlogix & Sharepoint Price List
- Develops in-Geo regular Price List review & update process under guidance of Pricing Manager or Finance Director
- Communicates effectively to key stakeholders for any pricing decision made.
PRICING SCORECARD
- Develops scorecard in providing business intelligence to geo business and finance community including but not limited to discount management, bid management, margin analysis, supplies consumption analysis, channels pricing and other deals-related business matrix.
- Leverages what WW pricing team has provided and incorporates into geo specific reporting.
- Identify areas of improvement to drive profitability and productivity gain.
TEAM COLLABORATION
- Collaborates with various AP business owners (Supplies, HW, CSS, Channels, Software) and WW pricing analytics
- Understands other team-member's key and critical deliverables & challenges, helps in ensuring team performance meets business and operational requirements.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
- College degree holder of Accountancy or Business Administration
- Minimum of 2-years’ experience in revenue related accounts, FS preparation and analytics.
- Minimum of 5 years in pricing and reporting management functions
ORGANIZATIONAL CHART (COPY/PASTE ORG CHART):
AUTHORITY & DECISION RIGHTS:
Has decision rights in determining best course of action/solution in performance of duties. Consults management team as needed. Collaborates with management in finalizing proposed new proposal, processes and controls.
INTERFACES:
Daily with Sales/Sales Operations, Finance FP&A, Team Leads, Stakeholders, co-process analyst and pricing members WW.
CAREER PROGRESSION:
Successful assignments can lead to lateral movements such as senior positions of other services areas or a change in career ladder such as into management.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
In office set-up. Shift would need to cover geographies supported by operations. May occasionally change shifts and extend or work on weekends due to deadlines, trainings, meetings or teleconferences. 48 hours per week but is subject to overtime as needed & pre-approved.
