Job Description

General Operative Cloghran 

We are looking for a General Operative that has a drive and passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Reporting to the Corporate and Van Location Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring efficiency and smooth operation regarding on site vehicle preparation. This role requires dedication and focus, making the customers experience & efficiency your priority.

This is a full time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Saturday between the hours of 8am-6pm on an agreed roster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the consistent quality of vehicles both inside and outside

  • Responsible for ensuring vehicle safety checks & audits are completed and documented

  • Maintain the compound, ensuring smooth flow of traffic & good appearance

  • Be aware of all requirements for vehicles during the day

  • Deliver vehicles to customers and other locations when required, using Rentalmatics app

  • Responsible for own health and safety and that of other work colleagues

  • Act as the face of the company, providing exemplary customer service when required

  • Ensure the highest level of attention is placed on the security of company fleet and assets

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines. Responsible for own health and safety and that of other work colleagues.

  • In addition to the above, employees are required to carry out any reasonable request to perform duties as may be reasonably required within the scope of the job title


Skills Required:

  • Team player with excellent presentation and the ability to demonstrate good attention to detail

  • Full Clean driving license held for a minimum of 2 years

  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work on own initiative

  • Good communications skills - both written and verbal

  • Mechanical knowledge a plus. i.e. checking oil, tyres etc
