About the position

We're looking for a Freelance Workforce Project Manager to lead a virtual team of freelancers — AI tutors, subject matter experts, writers, editors — ensuring smooth execution and high-quality outcomes. On projects with a dedicated Workforce Manager (WFM), you execute against their staffing/delivery plan. On projects without one, you also own capacity planning and forecasting directly. You'll work closely with PMs, Solution Engineers, and partners in Acquisition, Quality, and Analytics.

This is a freelance engagement with an initial term of 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on project needs and performance.

What you’ll do:

  • Own day-to-day workforce operations; be the point of contact for your freelancer team.
  • Identify required expert profiles, reactivate existing contributors, and work with Acquisition/BPO to fill gaps.
  • Design and run onboarding pipelines so experts are trained and production-ready on time.
  • Monitor performance and quality; replace inactive, low-quality, or fraudulent contributors to keep supply consistent.
  • Coordinate with Solution Engineers on pipelines/tools and troubleshoot delivery issues.
  • When no dedicated WFM is assigned: build the week-by-week delivery plan with the PM, forecast supply bottlenecks and workforce risk, and track cost-per-active-contributor.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong professional communication skills and Business English.
  • Process optimization mindset: You continuously look for ways to simplify and automate workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational efficiency. Experience using AI tools such as Claude, including AI agents and agentic workflows, to optimize day-to-day work is a strong plus.
  • Solid Project Management experience (Ops/Delivery/Annotation/Crowdsourcing).
  • Comfortable with technical products and environments.
  • Able to own both execution and planning/forecasting when no WFM is in place.
  • Track record on several fast-moving, time-sensitive projects.
  • Proactive — anticipates issues, resolves them fast.

Success metrics:

  • Supply Sufficiency Rate
  • Conversion Rate to Active Project
  • Time to Readiness
