The Fraud Operations Team is looking to fill an investigator position on the Fraud Servicing Team. The ideal candidate will work case queues and take ownership of a variety of responsibilities, ranging from ad hoc reviews to more complex projects. They should have a deep understanding of their specific work and case types, as well as familiarity with the operations of other Ops teams. With minimal direction from leadership, this person will be able to prioritize tasks, resolve issues, and meet production and accuracy goals. They will also assist teammates and shared services with questions, support cross-functional collaboration, and handle escalations and more challenging cases.

What You’ll Do

  • Regularly review suspicious account activities, diagnose account issues, and identify links to deter fraud attacks

  • Work collaboratively with our Customer Operations team to resolve incoming customer complaints

  • Identify trends and provide insight on new fraud behavior and fraud methods

  • Identity areas of opportunity to improve procedures, processes, and tools

  • Influence development of new risk models and review procedures

  • Take on independent projects to improve team performance or efficiency

  • Monitor SLAs on regular basis to ensure compliance

  • Support vendors by answering escalations and doing trainings when requested

  • Identify procedural gaps and provide subject matter expertise to shared services as needed

What We Look For

  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Ability to meet or exceed daily case count expectations

  • Fraud Investigations and/or detection experience

  • Motivated to learn new work types as needed

  • Experience supporting vendor teams 

  • Focused, self-motivated and reliable with ability to stay focused on a task and work independently

  • Possesses a positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact and build solid working relationships with all levels of the organization

  • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing workload and circumstances effectively as well as respond to new information quickly

  • SQL skills and knowledge preferred

Pay Grade - D
Equity Grade - 1

Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills.
Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents). In addition, the employees may be eligible for equity rewards offered by Affirm Holdings, Inc. (parent company).
CAN base pay range per year: $55,000 - $75,000
