Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Hydraulic Modeller (TUFLOW Specialist) to join our established Hydrology and Modelling team, delivering high-profile flood risk, water quality and environmental modelling projects.
Based in Dublin or Cork (with flexible and remote working options across Ireland), the role will focus primarily on flood risk management and hydraulic modelling, with additional exposure to water quality, sediment transport and large-scale green energy infrastructure developments, as well as a broader portfolio spanning renewables, infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors.
The Role
You’ll lead the delivery of complex hydraulic modelling projects from planning through to detailed design, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role includes:
- Project and technical leadership of hydraulic modelling studies
- Client management and support to business development and proposals
- Mentoring and coaching less experienced team members
- Desk-based work alongside occasional site visits across Ireland and the UK
You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning, ESIA and Engineering, as well as Global Advisory teams, on complex and impactful projects, with opportunities for wider European and international exposure.

About You
You’ll bring:
- Extensive experience (5+ years) delivering hydraulic modelling projects within Ireland and/or the UK
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering or a related field
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement experience
- Knowledge of Flood Planning Guidelines and relevant Irish hydraulic modelling standards
- Advanced experience with TUFLOW (including ESTRY) and Flood Modeller, with TUFLOW FV experience desirable
- Experience with QGIS or other industry-standard GIS packages
- Demonstrable experience leading and technically reviewing complex modelling projects
- Strong technical reporting, communication and problem-solving skills
- A desire to mentor and support junior team members
- A full driving licence valid in Ireland for site visits
- Chartered status with a relevant institution (or actively working towards Chartership)
