With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Financial Controller to join the team and support us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.

Responsibilities

  • Lead accurate IFRS financial reporting, statutory compliance, audit management, working-capital oversight, and AP/AR operations across all entities.
  • Establish, regularly review and maintain strong internal controls, standardized processes, and effective risk and compliance frameworks across the group.
  • Oversee timely, accurate month-end and year-end close processes, including journal reviews, reconciliations, and intercompany compliance.
  • Support global tax compliance and treasury functions, ensuring efficient cash management, liquidity planning, and intercompany funding.
  • Optimize ERP systems and drive automation and process improvements to enhance financial efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Train and develop the accounting team by building technical expertise to support career development. 

Requirements

  • Certified accounting professional (CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) with 7+ years of progressive finance experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
  • Proven ability to lead audits, manage external advisors, and ensure compliance with IFRS and international tax regulations.
  • Strong background collaborating with international, cross-functional teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel; experience with automation and process-improvement tools is a plus.
  • Results-oriented and proactive, with a hands-on approach to execution and problem solving.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Adaptable, collaborative team player who thrives in fast-paced, creative, and evolving environments

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in a creative, technology, or entertainment industry environment
  • Experience with Oracle NetSuite
  • Proven experience with process improvement, ERP optimization, or system implementations
  • Experience using data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI  
  • Familiarity with project-based accounting or R&D credit/tax incentive frameworks
  • Strong Excel modeling and scenario analysis capabilities.
