Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and validity of general ledger accounts.
- Adhere to firmwide General Ledger Reconciliation & Substantiation (GLRS) standards.
- Implement and identify opportunities for efficiency in P&L and Balance Sheet controls.
- Analyze, communicate, and resolve material variances between the general ledger and upstream systems.
- Collaborate with business and risk managers to address financial control issues.
- Build and maintain partnerships across various product-aligned businesses.
- Influence middle and front office partners to deliver business solutions.
- Critically challenge processes to identify control issues.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Excellent desktop, spreadsheet, and database skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of securities and derivatives products.
- Ability to liaise effectively with business and risk managers.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of complex processing systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a constantly changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Existing relationships and networks within the firm's IB community.
- Experience in financial control or related fields.
- Familiarity with general ledger systems and their interdependencies.
- Proven ability to influence and deliver solutions to business issues.
- Experience in a global financial environment.
