ICON is seeking a Financial Analyst II to join our Financial Business Planning team in Dublin. This is a project-focused finance role, centered on the financial management and performance of clinical studies.

You will work closely with operational teams to analyze study performance, manage revenue and billing, support cash collection, and identify opportunities to improve project margins. The role offers excellent exposure to project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and commercial decision-making, making it ideal for someone early in their post-qualification career who is keen to develop in a business-facing finance role.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Reviewing study metrics to understand how projects are performing.
  • Preparing regular financial reports and analysis highlighting key trends, opportunities, and risks for senior internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to produce actionable financial insights that support business strategy and decision-making.
  • Supporting discussions around financial risks, opportunities, and potential improvements to study delivery.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement in project reporting, financial processes, and data interrogation quality.

What You Bring

  • Newly qualified accountant or up to 2 years post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Background in practice or industry, with a desire to move into a business-partnering role
  • Solid analytical skills and confidence working with financial data
  • Strong Excel skills and an interest in developing financial systems and reporting capability
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with non-finance stakeholders
