Financial Accountant – Pet Nutrition Europe (Digital Business Unit)

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to take full ownership of financial accounting operations within our fast-growing Pet Nutrition Europe Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) business, part of the Digital Business Unit (DBU).
This is a 12-month temporary role, covering for an Associate on leave—an exciting chance to gain experience at the heart of one of the most dynamic and innovative areas of Mars Petcare.
What will be your key responsibilities?In this role, you’ll ensure financial processes run smoothly and accurately, enabling our business to keep growing at double-digit pace. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller, ICTC team, and market accounting colleagues to deliver high-quality accounting operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Own the books: Ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded with appropriate documentation.
- Core accounting processes: Handle accruals, journal postings, vendor invoice postings, payment runs, inter-company processes, and reconciliations.
- Tax & reporting: Manage VAT posting and reporting, DBP reporting, and support ad hoc projects.
- System work: Operate in Microsoft Dynamics (D365)—training will be provided.
- Collaboration: Partner with ICTC, local market accounting teams, and Mars Global Services Finance (MGSF).
