The Field Account Manager (FAM) drives revenue growth through strong in person engagement and deep local customer relationships. Partnering closely with Account Managers and internal teams, the FAM accelerates sales velocity, identifies whitespace opportunities, and supports account expansion across CDW's full solutions portfolio. This role requires a consultative, technically capable sales professional who can lead complex enterprise engagements within Higher Education. As a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, you will help customers navigate technology and AI-driven transformation by aligning solutions to strategic goals and delivering measurable business outcomes.
What You Will Do:
* Drive in person customer engagement to strengthen relationships and expand CDW's local presence.
* Partner with Account Managers to accelerate sales velocity and uncover whitespace growth opportunities.
* Support large, complex opportunities through deal strategy, execution, and customer-facing engagement.
* Lead account expansion activities, including on site meetings, events, and executive engagements.
* Activate strategic partners to unlock incremental growth across assigned accounts and territory.
* Provide insights to inform territory planning and operational strategy.
* Own pipeline inputs related to customer meetings, forecasting, and in person led opportunities.
* Sell and support the full CDW portfolio of solutions.
* Collaborate with presales, Solution Executives, and sales leadership to align resources and engagement strategy.
* Proactively identify and pursue new opportunities in partnership with Account Managers.
What We Expect of You:
* Proven experience in field sales or account management, preferably within Higher Education.
* Reside in California.
* Strong consultative selling and relationship building skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across sales, presales, leadership, and external partners.
* Experience supporting pipeline management, forecasting, and opportunity execution within a defined territory.
* Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
* Clear and confident verbal and in person communication skills.
* Proficiency with CRM and sales productivity tools (e.g., Salesforce).
* Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
* Comfortable operating in a fast paced, field based sales environment.
* Commitment to CDW's values and Philosophies of Success. Base pay range: $ 50,000 - $80,000 base salary depending on experience and skill set. In addition to the base salary, there is an uncapped commission structure subject to terms and conditions of plan.
