The Role:

As an Executive Talent Development Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing enterprise-wide development strategies that prepare senior leaders and high-potential talent for greater impact.
This role will lead the development of leadership experiences, succession-based development programs, executive coaching, and team effectiveness solutions. You will also build and lead a team that partners closely with Talent Management, HR Business Partners, and senior leadership to ensure that GM's executive pipeline is prepared for future challenges.

What You'll Do:
- Executive Development Strategy & Execution - Design and implement a comprehensive executive development strategy that aligns with GM's business goals and leadership needs.
- Succession-Based Development - Partner with Talent Management to create tailored development experiences that prepare successors and high-potential leaders for executive roles.
- Executive Coaching & Leadership Assessments - Own GM's executive coaching approach by establishing a policy and vendor partnerships, ensuring leaders receive targeted development aligned with business priorities.
- Team Effectiveness & Senior Leadership Development - Develop team effectiveness solutions for senior leadership teams, driving alignment, collaboration, and high performance.
- Assessment & Insights - Leverage assessments (e.g., 360s, Hogan, psychometrics) to provide data-driven insights that shape development plans and organizational decision-making.
- Program Leadership & Team Building - Build and lead a high-performing team focused on delivering impactful executive learning experiences at scale.
- Stakeholder Partnership & Influence - Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, HRBPs, and key stakeholders on executive development priorities.
- Innovation in Learning & Development - Integrate cutting-edge learning science, behavioral change strategies, and technology into GM's executive development approach.
Additional Description
Required Skills & Abilities
- 7+ years of experience designing and implementing executive development, leadership programs, or organizational development strategies.
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Deep expertise in assessment tools (e.g., Hogan, 360 assessments, psychometric tools).
- Proven ability to partner with senior leaders and HR teams to drive executive development initiatives.
- Strong background in succession planning, high-potential talent development, and leadership coaching.
- Experience leading large-scale, strategic leadership development initiatives with measurable business impact.
- Experience leading enterprise-wide team effectiveness initiatives.
- Strong understanding of learning technology, digital coaching platforms, and leadership analytics.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and executive presence.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 25%.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge:
- ICF executive coaching certification (or equivalent).
- Hogan certification or deep experience in leadership assessment interpretation.
- Master's degree in organizational development

Compensation:
- The expected base compensation for this role is: $124,700.00 - $187,100.00 - Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
