The Strategic Events Manager, EMEA is a key member of the Strategic Events team, responsible for planning and executing MongoDB’s strategic events portfolio with a primary focus on programs in the EMEA region, while partnering to support global priority programs and working closely with teams across MongoDB to deliver cohesive, high-impact event experiences that support broader business objectives.
This role will lead EMEA execution for flagship owned and sponsored events and support select global programs as priorities require. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and strong operator who can translate global objectives into regionally relevant execution and scale best practices across markets.
We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.
Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end event coordination and production, including:
- Event messaging/marketing
- Materials creation
- Signage and branding
- Contract negotiation and vendor relations
- Site selection and venue coordination
- Registration and attendee management
- Agenda planning and speaker support
- Staffing, on-site production, and F&B planning
- Post-event reporting and analysis
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Revenue Marketing, Developer Relations, Engineering, Executive Support, etc.) to drive alignment, maximize event visibility, and enablement.
- Collaborate with the Strategic Event Operations team to assist with campaign creation, lead flow management, and sponsorship sales and fulfillment
- Effectively manage event budgets and evaluate ROI to optimize performance
- Deliver thoughtful wrap-up reports and ROI analyses to drive continuous improvement

- 5+ years of event marketing, event management, or field marketing experience
- Proven ability to develop engaging events that align with business goals
- Strong project management and analytical skills with a data-driven approach
- Experience working independently while collaborating in a global, distributed team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with copywriting or crafting compelling, audience-centric content
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
- Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, and Cvent
- Willingness to travel ~35% (domestically & globally)
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Based in EMEA
- Experience working in technology and/or SaaS
- Fluency in a second european language
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP)
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Jifflenow, Splash, Jira, Tableau, Wrike, Microsoft Office, and other marketing automation tools
