Events & Engagement Intern(hybrid work model, full time, 11 months, student status required, starting August-September)About the team and the role:

The Event and Engagement Intern will play a key role in assisting the Events Team while also supporting the wider Customer Experience Leadership Team. The aim of the internship is to provide valuable insight and experience in event and engagement campaign planning, coordination, project management and communications.
Working under the immediate supervision of the Events & Community Engagement Manager, this position requires strong creative skills, excellent written communication skills and strong verbal communications skills with some experience in managing events desirable. The position requires someone who is creative, flexible, learns quickly, has strong organisational skills and works well in a fast-paced environment.


What you will accomplish:

This role will focus on day-to-day execution of teammate events and engagement campaigns. The specific responsibilities include:

  • Working as part of the events team and supporting with all aspects of event planning from concept to delivery
  • Creation of creative collateral – Posters, Newsletter Articles, PowerPoint Slides
  • Hands-on event management support at events
  • Managing leader boards, data and evaluating engagement campaigns
  • Supporting the Customer Experience Leadership Team with ad hoc administrative tasks and projects
  • Other office and/or administrative duties as required
     
What you will bring:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Extreme attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Advanced level of English
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Enthusiastic and willing to learn within the role
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook and advanced MS PowerPoint
  • Basic design skills – experience in Adobe Photoshop an advantage
  • Basic event management experience desirable but not essential
  • A fun and flexible personality that fits the eBay culture with a positive and flexible attitude
  • Currently enrolled in an university course mandatory for this internship
