Position Title:  European Research Director (Dublin)

Summary/Overview:

KBRA EU is looking for a full-time Research Director (Dublin) to work in KBRA EU’s credit ratings group.  The research director would also assist KBBA’s global Credit Policy team in evaluating rating methodologies. 

About the Team:

This resource will be a member of the KBRA EU ratings unit and will also assist KBRA’s global Credit Policy function.  The ratings unit is responsible for producing EU credit research and ratings. The Credit Policy function is responsible for establishing and monitoring processes related to determining and monitoring ratings.  This resource will be expected to produce timely, comprehensive research relating to various EU asset classes, and will also assist the Credit Policy function in evaluating rating methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze macroeconomic, markets and other data relevant to KBRA-rated issuers and transactions
  • Collaborate with rating analysts to generate ideas and publish research across KBRA's structured and fundamental ratings units
  • Support KBRA's global Credit Policy function by providing European insights and expertise and delivering targeted research projects

You will be successful in this role if you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Professional research experience in debt capital markets, structured finance and/or corporate finance
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communications skills, with close attention to detail 
  • Demonstrated critical thinking , initiative and strong follow-through
  • Proven ability to manage time and resources effectively to meet deadlines
  • Interest in, and familiarity with, financial markets and economic data analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation, communication, and written skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and resources meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrate critical thinking skills, the ability to take initiative and follow-up where needed
