Team/Role Overview

The European Clearing Product (part of the Global Clearing Product team) services our broad FI client community across many subsectors, each in itself impacted by market innovation.  To respond to the degree of change and innovation across this sector we are looking to appoint a product development specialist to the European Clearing team to progress Citi’s agenda in this space. This will take a number of formats, developing our European Clearing offering in light of migration of ISO20022 across SWIFT and Key FMIs, responding to changes in market and championing the 'next-gen' proposition for European Clearing while ensuring Resiliency is a central tennant of all deliverables.  This role will also be central in helping to drive our commercialization agenda, aligning European Clearing product proposition with USD clearing and developing core capabilities to attract additional and incremental flows.

What you’ll do

The European Clearing Product Manager will join the Payments product team in Dublin and will work closely with members of the Global and UK and Europe Cluster Payments Product Managers and partners across the geography to drive market analysis, develop client propositions, develop product solution sets and ensure safety and soundness of the product offering.

  • Tracking P&L for the European Product offering,  driving product pricing strategy cognisant of market factors, pricing individual deals and deal approvals, tracking of relevant business performance MIS.  
  •   Help formulate and drive tactical and strategic capability development in alignment with Global Clearing Product and Payments and Receivables Product Strategy.
  • Engaging with Client Facing teams and clients directly to drive Citi share of client wallet by presenting our market leading propositions and Thought Leadership
  • Understand, manage and mitigate the risk associated with payment products.
  • Provides product training and subject matter expertise (SME), interact with functional partners and supporting units & maintenance of the Product Approval Programme (PAP).
  • Participation in Professional Industry Groups and Forums
  • Assisting to ensure that the product is compliant with regulations and formulating strategies on the back of new regulatory developments (PSD/DORA etc.)

  

What we’ll need from you

We are looking for an individual with a strong payments product management background, preferably with experience of dealing with Financial Institutions and Payment FMI’s,  an excellent understanding of the current regulatory and market developments impacting the FI payments industry and the ability to work as part of a team or independently to deliver results  

  • University graduate, preferably in business or marketing or related disciplines.
  • Business focused and the ability to think strategically
  • Strong financial and & analytical skills to understand and tackle the challenges of the FI payments business
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence people across multiple modes of communication  
  •  Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines 
  • Leadership skills
