We are seeking and experienced EUC Engineer to join our team on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for someone who can hit the ground running and is comfortable working onsite, delivering in-person technical support to end users within a fast-paced environment.
As the first-line interface for employees, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of desktop environments, delivering user-focused support, and assisting with key workplace IT activities. Working closely with the internal IT team, you will act as a proactive extension of that function, providing in-person support, managing workstation setups, and resolving technical issues to maintain a seamless end-user experience.
Please note: this role operates in an office-based model with candidates expected to be able and willing to work from our customer's Dublin office every day.
Required skills:
- Proven experience in an EUC or desktop support role within a professional environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-centric mindset
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
- Familiarity with desktop operating systems, hardware troubleshooting, and peripheral support
- Comfortable working onsite and supporting users face to face
Key responsibilities & duties include:
- Workstation setups: Install and configure desktops, laptops, peripheral devices, and required software for new and existing employees
- Relocation & desk moves: Provide hands-on support for internal desk moves, including reconfiguring equipment and ensuring minimal disruption to users
- In person support & troubleshooting: Server as the first point of contact for end users requiring technical support, resolving hardware and software issues, and escalating when needed
- General EUC support: Assist with the broader end user computing environment, including printers, AV equipment, and desktop level network connectivity
