Job Title: EU Sr. Management Accountant
Department: F&A
Position Type: Full-Time
Pay Basis: Salaried
Travel: 0-15 days per year
Hours of Work: 40 hrs / week
Reports to: EU Director, Finance
How You’ll have an Impact:
You will be responsible for the compilation of accurate and complete financial accounts for the Haulfast but also legacy Coyote Logistics’ Dutch, UK, and Polish entities, as well as financial analysis thereon, alongside the responsibility of internal reporting and process improvement with the accounting team and assisting the Team and EU Finance Director. You will be working in a dynamic scale-up environment with an ambitious growth agenda and in a diverse, international team.
Essential Functions:
- Crucial role in the month-end closing process with a focus om more complex and senior accounting areas, with a focus on review as opposed to preparation, such as but not limited to:
- Review/approval of month-end entries
- Review of accruals for costs, commissions etc.
- Transfer pricing calculations
- VAT filing
- Support for statutory reporting in various countries
- Managing the timeliness and overall quality of our month-end processes (basic knowledge of Agile/scrum master experience is a plus)
- Working closely with and supporting the EU Director in a.o. financial analysis for group reporting, coaching the team and working on technical areas such a transfer pricing and compliance
- Active role in design and implementation of internal controls and rich initiative to have continuous improvement of our financial processes
- Financial reporting for internal purposes (KPIs) and analysis
- Sparring partner for other areas of the business to improve processes and reporting
- Knowledge of US and UK GAAP is a plus
Essential Skills:
- Analytical – You should possess strong analytical skills to be able critically assess the numbers
- Problem Solving – Pro-actively able to come up with solutions and solve issues as they arise
- Organization – Prioritization & time management are key
- Strong IT skills – Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud, XPRD), Microsoft Excel, and affinity with data analytics
Preferred Education & Experience:
5-7 years of working experience in a similar role
University degree (master’s degree), field of finance/accounting is a plus
Experience in Big4 audit is a plus
ACCA/CIMA or studying towards recognized accounting qualification is a plus
