Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Engagement Manager to join our fast-paced team in a Salesforce-driven technology business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for driving project success, coupled with a keen interest in expanding their knowledge of emerging technologies. As an Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, ensuring delivery is within budget, scope and timelines, whilst fostering a collaborative approach to problem-solving and solution design.
Main Responsibilities
Project Plan Preparation & Ownership: Take full ownership of project planning, preparation and execution, ensuring deliverables meet client expectations and timelines
Accountability for Project Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end project delivery, ensuring that the project stays on track, within budget, meets quality standards and is delivered on time
Task Allocation: Effectively allocate tasks to the project team, ensuring clarity on roles, responsibilities and timelines
Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and manage them proactively to avoid project delays
Project Team Leadership: Lead and participate in project teams, coordinating the implementation of project deliverables and ensuring smooth collaboration across departments
Documentation Creation: Develop essential project documentation such as Project Plans, Status Reports, Risk Logs, etc., ensuring all project activities are tracked and communicated effectively
Development Task Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and supporting the delivery of development tasks, ensuring high-quality technical implementation in alignment with client requirements.
Solution Design Guidance: Work closely with the delivery team to guide and advise on technical design and implementation, ensuring adherence to client requirements.
Technical Quality Assurance: Ensure that good design principles and technical quality standards are followed throughout the project lifecycle.
Management Reporting: Provide regular progress reports to management, offering insights into project status, resource management, risks and mitigation strategies.
Change Management: Effectively manage changes in the project scope, ensuring smooth adaptation and alignment with the client’s evolving needs.
Project Handover: Manage the handover of the project to the customer or support teams, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction.
Team Management: Provide line management support to junior members of the Engagement Manager team, mentoring and coaching them in project management best practices.
Internal Process Improvement: Lead internal initiatives to improve the methodology of Salesforce implementation, promoting the development of best practices across the team.
Experience & Education
Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing IT projects, particularly within Salesforce or similar technology-driven environments.
Demonstrated knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM, etc.), with significant experience applying these in diverse business settings.
Technical Understanding: Proven technical knowledge in areas relevant to Salesforce and technology project delivery.
Salesforce Experience: Experience working with Salesforce and a strong understanding of its ecosystem.
Agile Software Development: Solid experience with Agile methodologies (particularly SCRUM) and managing teams in an Agile environment.
Formal Project Management Training: A recognised Project Management qualification (such as PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred but not required.
Software Development Lifecycle: Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and its application in project delivery.
Skills & Attributes
Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Interest in learning new technologies and staying up-to-date with emerging tech trends.

Work Schedule
This role will be based in the office for 2 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remaining 3 days.
