We are seeking an End User Support Trainer to join our customer's team in Dublin.  

The End User Experience (EUX) Content & Training Specialist will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality training content that enables end users to effectively utilise current and emerging systems and applications. The trainer will play a crucial role in enhancing end-user productivity, satisfaction, and overall adoption of new technologies. This will involve developing comprehensive training materials, delivering engaging training sessions, providing ongoing support, and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the organisation.

The successful candidate must be able to attend the office in Dublin at least once a week.

Main Responsibilities:

Content Development:

  • Design and develop comprehensive training materials, including manuals, presentations, tutorials, and interactive simulations, tailored to the specific needs and skill levels of end users.
  • Create engaging and informative content that explains complex concepts clearly, using a variety of instructional methods such as storytelling, analogies, and real-world examples.
  • Incorporate best practices and industry standards into training materials, ensuring that they are up-to-date and aligned with organisational goals.
  • Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in end-user computing, ensuring that training materials remain relevant and effective.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather requirements, identify knowledge gaps, and ensure that training content accurately reflects organisational needs and objectives.
  • Utilise instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective and engaging training experiences.
  • Develop and maintain a library of training resources to streamline content creation and ensure consistency across training programmes.

Training Delivery:

  • Adapt end user experience training content and delivery methods to meet the specific needs of different groups of end users, such as new hires, experienced employees, or specialised teams.
  • Conduct in-person training sessions in various settings, including classrooms and conference rooms.
  • Utilise a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, demonstrations, and simulations, to cater to different learning styles.
  • Design and deliver online training courses, including webinars, virtual classrooms, and self-paced content.
  • Utilise online tools and platforms to create engaging and interactive learning experiences, including generative AI platforms for efficient material creation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training requirements and develop customised training plans.
  • Develop self-paced training materials, such as online tutorials, videos, and interactive simulations.

Training Evaluation and Improvements:

  • Track and measure the effectiveness of training programmes using appropriate metrics, such as learner satisfaction surveys, knowledge assessments, and performance data.
  • Gather feedback from end users to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to training materials and delivery methods.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine training programmes to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the organisation and its employees.

Required Skills and Experience: 

  • Proven experience in training and development, preferably in an IT or corporate environment.
  • Professional IT qualification or 3 or more years’ experience in an IT support and administration role
  • Able to take a creative approach to situations and problem solving, seeking help from others when required.
  • Experience of developing knowledge and skill levels in a support team to resolve issues in a fast turnaround time.
  • Results oriented and driven by goal achievement with a strong focus on high quality service performance
  • Strong understanding of training methodologies and content development frameworks
  • Strong understanding of end-user computing concepts and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and preferences.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., authoring tools, presentation software, video editing).
  • Experience in instructional design and adult learning principles.

Desirable Criteria

  • A degree in education, instructional design, or a related field.
  • Certification in instructional design or adult education
