JOB SUMMARY
The Vespel® department within the DuPont Electronics & Industrial business unit produces high-quality precision parts that are used in demanding applications in terms of temperature and friction, such as aircraft engines and car transmissions. Vespel® products are custom-made parts and often replace the classic metal parts, ranging from sealing rings to bearings, to save weight and extend the lifespan.
In our department in Mechelen, Vespel® parts are made by means of a polyimide powder pressing process.
We are currently looking for a Production Operator, with a passion for technology and an interest in continuous learning.
Job content:
The Vespel® production operator is responsible for operating all kinds of mechanical, hydraulic and electric presses and achieving the production goals in a safe and qualitative manner.
The tasks include:
- Mould set-up, based on technical drawing
- Adjustment and adjustment of the presses via automatic controls
- Operating and monitoring the presses and peripherals
- Visual inspection of the pressed parts using measuring instruments
- Assess statistical results and adjust process where necessary
- Operating and monitoring machines for polishing the parts (tumbling)
- Operation and loading of the sintering furnaces
- Administration of the production order: processing all production data in SAP and other systems
- Participate in the introduction of new technologies and work out improvements
Your profile:
- Diploma in Electromechanics, Mechanical Design Techniques or equivalent through experience
- Strong technical knowledge (hydraulics, mechanics, measurement and control techniques, CNC)
- Team player with a sense of responsibility and initiative
- You can think in a problem-solving way and can deal well with technically complex challenges
- You are eager to learn and motivated to learn continuously
- Knowledge of SAP and/or statistics is an advantage
- Safety and quality awareness
- Willing to work in 3 shifts
