Position Summary

Samsung.com is a key growth area for Samsung. Within the online team, we are building a new commercial function. This role assists in driving and delivering the day-to-day commercial performance of the Ireland eStore.
The role will be passionate about driving online sales across these products, delivering standard online execution processes, including product life cycle management, optimising sales, analysing performance, conducting AB tests, and working closely with the content team.

Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

1.Launch products so people can find them

  • Curation of key pages – optimising how products are listed, compared and surfaced across key parts of the site including the homepage, information, category and product pages, right through to the basket and checkout.

  • Taxonomy – making sure products are findable when they are launched

  • Signposting – getting placements across the site to signpost products

2. Improve onsite experience and content

  • Content – curating requests for the creative team to build images and videos for onsite and digital marketing campaigns.

  • Ratings and reviews – working with the content team to ensure customer-generated content is on all the right parts of the site to reinforce the customer's decision to buy.

  • Upselling – product recommendations, bundles, cross-sell and upsell opportunities.

  • QA testing – regular reviewing of the online purchase journey across all areas of the online store, to ensure the purchase process is detailed, intuitive and user-friendly.

  • Email – engaging with the CRM team to build custom email sends for Samsung IE eStore, to target customers with tailored messaging relating to product launches, offers and key sales campaigns.

  • A/B testing - learning and optimising based on what works.

3. Working with Merchandising team

  • Working on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis through a merchandising plan that aligns with the commercial trading and promotional plan

  • Assist in running a briefing process so that promotions and campaigns are called out clearly and in line with brand guidelines and standard processes.

  • Making informed decisions based on data and insight

  • Active participation in regular trading meetings. The trading team will look to the merchandising team to provide an update on the conversion rate and what it means.

  • Supporting daily and weekly administrative tasks such as launch documents and asset briefs to ensure that all trading and merchandising executives share the workload equally.

4. Analysis

  • Keeping on top of all product movement in and out of the eStore, ensures you are optimising the product offering at all times.

  • Identify trends in the wider market through regular insight check-ins and competitor analysis that can translate into commercial opportunities.

  • Analysing competitors and their online proposition, pricing and promotional strategy to ensure your site is established in the accurate market position, in line with Samsung’s wider strategic direction

  • Implement and support the analysis of localised campaigns.

  • Support all reporting requirements of the Online Lead regarding the commercial performance for the eStore, including weekly trading decks and monthly insight decks.

  • Handles difficult situations with thought and confidence; role models clear and encouraging feedback and integrity; strong at leading multiple partners; comfortable in the absence of direction.
